Most working families receive a meaningful subsidy — some up to 90% off their fees. You don't need to be on a low income to qualify. CCS is applied directly to your fees, so you only ever pay the gap.
An additional NSW government program on top of CCS for eligible 3 and 4+ year olds. In 2026, eligible families may receive up to $2,563 per year for children aged 4 and above, or up to $769 per year for 3-year-olds, depending on eligibility.
From January 2026, all CCS-eligible families are entitled to at least 72 hours of subsidised childcare per fortnight — regardless of work or study hours. Families may still need to pay a gap fee.
